Heartfall — A Tale in Three Lives is a free visual novel RPG published by Kazehita Art LLC. The game launched on 13 October 2026; patch v1.01 followed on 14 October for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Steam app 5257930 was still listed as a planned October 2026 release when checked on 15 October 2026.

I opened the carrd, the itch.io page, and the Steam page on 15 October 2026 before writing this. There is no browser build and no Run game button, so the first screen here links to the download page instead of embedding a player.

What the official pages say

The carrd lists the genre as a story-heavy visual novel with choices that matter, top-down play, and a teen-and-up audience. Controls are keyboard, controller, and mouse. The Steam description says the project has 400k+ words, 450+ cut-in artworks, 50+ original music tracks, and seventy collaborators.

The same Steam text says no knowledge of 3rd Life is required. The carrd FAQ says the team is not affiliated with Grian or the 3rd Life SMP cast, and that Grian gave a go-ahead before Steam distribution. Development started in December 2024. Contributor applications ran in March 2026.
